Video: An Intoxicated Teletubby
I wasn’t sure if this was worth posting on NOHS at first. Sure it’s a Wings prospect, but with it being a non-hockey story, the Classic being cancelled and my general hate towards the league right now, I passed on the first run of it. Then this information came out recently and, being that it’s become national news, we had to have something on it. Plus it happened right in front of my former workplace, which makes it even more relevant for me. In case you’ve been living under a hockey rock lately, here’s what I’m talking about:
Detroit Red Wings prospect Riley Sheahan was arrested and charged with DUI on Oct. 29 for being "super drunk" — with a blood alcohol content of .30, nearly four times the legal limit.
But the reason you're no doubt familiar with his name is that he had teammate Brendan Smith's ID … and because he was dressed as a purple Teletubby at the time of his arrest.

It's pretty sad that drunken Teletubbies are what hockey fans are talking about these days, but with the NHL nowhere to be found, that's what we're left with.

Somehow between the time the video started and the time he stepped out of the car, I forgot that he was wearing a Teletubby costume. And I lost it when he stepped out.

it will be so easy for the opposition to trash talk sheahan. if the AHL has any sense, they'll make him wear a mic for the rest of the year. they'd make a killing selling the audio.
Glad no one was hurt and this happened on a non nhl year. That being said, this is effing hysterical and the poor kid is never gonna hear the end of it!
