Blue Jackets vs Red Wings Recap: 3.10.2013

Written by Twig on .

The Red Wings have been dominated by the Jackets all year and today was no different. The Red Wings only took 3 of a possible 10 points. That's pathetic. Not only are the Jackets a bad team, they were also missing their 4 best players, yet they still owned the Red Wings twice in as many days.

More after the jump:

Seems the entire team is slumping right now. Even Howard was a bit off compared to how he had been playing the last couple weeks.

I don't know what else to say about this game because there just weren't any bright spots again, so I'll end my recap with a question: The Red Wings lose Helm and a bunch of guys most of you don't even want on the team while the Griffins have lost their two best defensemen, Tatar and Andersson. One team can't maintain a win streak. One continues to win. Why?

Next game is Wednesday in Calgary.

Did anyone else notice the little "segment" they did during the broadcast about Dats & Abby. Datsyuk was saying how some people are meant to play the piano and others are meant to pull it, in reference to the different playing styles of the two. It seem like they were actually trying to dignify Babcocks decision. The best was when Larry Murphy seemed to imply that it was an effective line combination and that the two work well together. I almost threw up.

In response to your question, let me counter-pose: considering the Red Wings opponent yesterday and today, don't they both play AHL opponents while one loses and one wins?
