I hope you folks are ready for this poster...it instantly became one of my favorites.
Here's a few words from the Head of the NOHS Graphics Art Department - Mr. Josh Howard himself:
Ken Holland.... He thinks you've forgotten about his diabolical genius. It's time you realize it can't be fully understood. Sometimes things needs to be torn down, ripped apart, or set ablaze to become what they were always meant to be. The Wings are no exception. These trying times of adversity are just what needs to happen. Does it suck from a fan standpoint? Absolutely. Holland isn't perfect. Let's hope this movie ends better than a pile of Ilitch's money lit ablaze and Batsyuk being attacked by a Justin Abdelkader wielding, two faced Mike Babcock. Darkness must fall on Gotham for a hero to truly rise. Hate Holland if you want, but it's all part of a master plan. Whether it works or not will be judged years from now.
It's your Gameday Movie Poster for tonight's game against the Oilers. Make the jump for the goods.
Out of the darkness...comes the Dark Manager:
Time to get a friggin' 'W'.
My birthday was on the 15th, went to the bar, sang karaoke, watched the game. Datsyuk winning in OT was the perfect ending to an awesome birthday!
I think this is the greatest poster he has made yet. I also agree with his comments above. Ken Holland is too good of a manager and Illitch is too good of an owner for them to not be planning something. We all knew this sort of a season was coming, yeah it sucks but it is necessary.
@moorecha I think because everyone is enraged at this team right now. Blame the GM, Coach, players, or chance; however, everyone is upset. There is little to be said that hasn't been said until wins give new fodder. Great poster, but I am coming to feel the guy on the poster is killing this time. It said there will be judgment down the road, and judgment there shall be. Great job on the photoshop and concept though (though I think apropos for the stars at the top to be Abby, Cleary, Bert, Sammy, and the other misfits that the guy in the pictures seems to love signing and having his coach give top minutes to).
