On February 1st...a Quest for Revenge begins.
"This is a tale about revenge... glorious, nasty revenge. We remember what happened 12 days ago. It will be avenged...it's kill or be killed...it's about getting even stevens...it's about cleaning the slate...and we're going to get even our revenge one way or another. The skates are sharp, the sticks are wrapped, and our minds have never been clearer. Prepare yourself...there will be blood." --Josh Howard Head of NOHS

Nothing would make me happier than to write a good ol' "Kick 'Em When They're Down" post tomorrow like the good old days. But the Blues are are playing some good hockey right now. Can we bring our compete level to theirs? You bet your sweet bippy.
Make the jump for the goods.
It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your Blues had it comin'. When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I'll be waiting.
Here's the lineup according to Khan(!)...
Johan Franzen-Henrik Zetterberg-Damien Brunner
Valtteri Filppula-Pavel Datsyuk-Todd Bertuzzi
Daniel Cleary-Justin Abdelkader-Patrick Eaves
Drew Miller-Cory Emmerton-Jordin Tootoo
Niklas Kronwall-Jonathan Ericsson
Kyle Quincey-Brendan Smith
Kent Huskins-Jakub Kindl
Jimmy Howard (starting)
Ian White is due back on Tuesday (maybe). Hopefully the Wings will be a bit more prepared for tonight's bout. Even without the Namesake - they better show up to play tonight.
We're coming for blood.
Let's Go Red Wings.
Well, that was leaps and bounds better than the first game against the Blues. Lots of bad calls (both ways), that 5 minute major penalty was total B.S., even if it was in our favor. Hank obviously was the man tonight, I was happy to see Ericsson score one. Howard's got some brass ones to stay in after that painful looking split, whereas Halak injuring his tender face caused him to leave the game.
Please excuse me tonight while I watch the game holding my samurai sword... Let's hope I don't have to use it.
