It's a late start tonight, and the Wings are welcoming back a few almost forgotten faces with Franzen, Smith and Quincey. Filppula is out with a shoulder issue, and White is a healthy scratch. Lets hope they can get this streak going by taking out the Kings.

Brunner has been a nice surprise this season. Did you really think that he would come over here from the Swiss league at 26 and light the ice on fire? I admit I was skeptical, and for good reason, we already had the Leino experiment fail.
I'm glad he's proven us wrong. That's not to say he doesn't have areas to improve on, but when he does, just imagine...
If the ice were a game of Checkers your object as a player would be to reach the back of the net with the puck, therefore becoming one of the kings of the game.
Having Kings on your jersey means nothing. In the words of our resident photochopper Josh Howard.

This game is the most poorly officiated game I have seen since the Fraser-fellating-Colorado days. I counted at least 20 egregious penalties committed by LA, a couple potential suspension worthy, yet they don't call anything. LA running around insane trying to hurt people (and succeeding), yet no call. Pav on the other hand gets his face smashed to the ice and his hand grazes the puck and it's a faceoff violation penalty. Penner sees Smith standing not looking and far away from the puck and throws a flying elbow to the head that results in injury and nothing. This game was rigged on "Rivalry Night." The NHL wants its SoCal team that finally won a Cup to keep momentum and they couldn't do it themselves. How many hours of 5-on-3 did they have for no reason? Just atrocious. Abominable. Repulsive. Vile. Disgusting. Horrendous. Embarrassing. Ok, I'll stop.
So I was sitting there thinking, "Man, they're hitting us hard a lot. We need a big one back. C'mon Tootoo." And then, there was Emmerton. Holy crap he destroyed Drewiski with a legal hit (unlike most of theirs).
