I always thought that Ilari never got the chance he deserved to prove himself in North America. He dominated at the AHL level, why not see how he plays with Detroit for a game or two?
Oh well, still amazing stuff anyways, I just wish it was on this side of the pond.
I've been out of the loop for a while, but is Ilari officially out with the Wings? If so, I definitely agree that there was a potential missed opportunity. Maybe them playing together for Jokerit, will really show what they're capable of.
