Is This Going To Be Forever?

Written by Chris on .

Sure looks like it.  Per the Free Press and Tennessean:

According to Ryan Suter’s agent Neil Sheehy, there will be “no decision” from Suter today.

General manager Ken Holland met today with Suter at his off-season home in Madison, Wisc., arriving back in Detroit late this afternoon...The Wings made an offer of $80 million over 13 years to Suter on Sunday, and have since increased the money to $90 million.

Parise's agent, Wade Arnott, told the Free Press this afternoon that they were still "in decision-making mode."

Parise said today that he hadn’t made a decision and doesn’t have a timetable for one soon after landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Jesus.  Wake me up when we're thru.  At least we didn't pay 4.5 million for a selfish hired gun over 40.

Zach to Detroit will not happen. I'd pay Selanne 4.5 for 1 year.  He hates Detroit, so it won't happen either.

@beelza You're right, Parise is not happening. Almost wish they would just lock up Semin but that would cement Parises decision even if there was a slim chance.

It's hard to decide because it isn't just about money. These are young guys trying to figure out where they want to finish their careers at, where they want to raise kids perhaps, where they want to SPEND A BIG CHUNK OF THEIR LIVES.

Noone deserves that kind of money, it's more than most of the population of earth combined will ever make (not really). How hard is it to decide!?

@Reddy Well, when you've got a dozen teams offering you pretty much the same money and you have to consider where you want to spend the rest of your professional life, where and how you're going to raise your children and all that jazz, I have no difficulty believing it would be a very, very hard decision.
