All we need is a little help from our friends. I especially appreciate help when it comes in the form of Detroit's Eastern Time Zone chaps. The Rangers took down the surging Predators day-before-yesterday...that was pretty ultradocious of them.
How about Buffalo coming up big on the road in Chicago?
Great. Thanks, guys. What a horrible thing to wake up to on NHL.com.
Help doesn't seem to be coming often enough when it comes to the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.
Make the jump to see what the Buffaslugs did to us in the standings.
Why can't teams seem to stop the Blackhawks from scoring so much? We did. It seems like every time I see the score from a Blackhawk game, they've put up five or more goals...it's frustrating.
From first to fourth just like that. Granted, we're only one point back of being right back on top with a game in-hand. But again, we need to continue taking care of business because the competition certainly is.
Our opponent tonight, the Phoenix Coyotes are coming off a 6-2 defeat themselves at the hands of the Poultry last night...which is both good and bad news. The good news is they had to play last night so we get them on the tail end of back-to-back games. The bad news is they're probably going to be pretty steamed that they got waxed in the previous game and will probably come out on fire...
...that was my hope for Buffao, anyway. St. Louis is in action tonight as well against the 14th place Oilers...not expecting much help there.
We just need to take care of our own business and hope the rest shakes out in our favor.
Team Lidstrom has proven they can win the big games, and even the little games at home. If they start showing up to the little games on the road, dangerous they will be.
Thanks a lot for the help Buffalo!!!!!!!! Oh wait u didn't help us out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So thanks again........ NOT!!!!!!!!!
As long as the Wings come out finishing their checks and getting traffic at the net tonight, we *should* have a decent chance at vicotry. Does anyone know if Labarbera or Smith is starting tonight? (i'm assuming Labarbera because Smith started yesterday)
At this point... I don't think it matters at all who's in net. If we get traffic, we win... PERIOD. Their system is what beats us, not their goalie. We can do it. :) @freakazoid0587
The good thing is it's still early... however, this is the time that teams start to eek out slight leads and hold them. We need to get that lead and hold onto it. @Jordan_Reis
