Last season, Hudler was consistantly the team's whipping boy. This season didn't start that much better, being sat early in the season. Hudler's future looked like he'd be trade bait at best for Detroit.
Well things have changed. Hit the jump to see how.
Starting curiously around the time that Jordan started posting his documentary entitled, Happy Hudler's Magical Myster Globe Trotting Adventures, the puck's been going in for Happy...a lot. His 17 goals is second on Detroit this season and has scored a few pretty ones as well. In fact, he has 8 more goals than Zetterberg at this point in the season (that hurt to write).
But the best news is that his shot is back, with a vengence. Ask Luongo about Happy's snapper (whoa...that that how you will.) That dangerous weapon is going to be needed in the playoffs.
And this is good, because Hudler is one of Detroit's few pure goal scorers. Can't ever have too many Happys.
Now we should start the search for Detroit's other pure goal scorer. Anyone seen a Mule?

As much as I love Mule, I equally hate his inconsistent play. For as much as he is making, he really needs to elevate his game play during the regular season (we all know he's a beast in the playoffs).
@thebiglachovsky Agreed, however, consider this... perhaps this team isn't built to have 1 or two people score the bulk of the goals? When 1 person goes cold, another gets hot. Who's been on the same line as the Mule???.... BERTUZZI Bert's been doing very well as opposed to earlier in the season when Mule was tearing it up. Also, consider that Happy is going nuts scoring goals. Who on his line was tearing it up earlier???.. FILPPULA . It's a vicious cycle my friend. It's frustrating, but we get by. If their is one thing this team is not... it's consistent. At least they are good... that's all that matters.
@Josh Howard@thebiglachovsky For me, it's not so much that he isn't scoring goals; rather the way he often doesn't even seem to try. I don't care that Z isn't scoring goals, he's working his butt off and having a positive impact on the team. I don't see that same level of dedication and work form Mule. That's where my personal frustration come from.
