If you turned the game off after Nashville Columbus (Twig's got country music on his mind) scored their shorthanded goal, you're officially a gamewrecker. Detroit battled back and won 5-2.
Full recap after the jump:
Detroit took most of the night off, but luckily they were playing the Blue Jackets.
The PP needs to find a way to control the puck after entering the zone. The first PP it took Detroit 45 seconds to gain the zone. That's terrible.
Bert had a rough first period. His first penalty was legit, but that interference call was just bad. Then he got boarded. No call, of course.
MacDonald was good tonight. He made some huge saves when we needed him to, especially late when the game was still tied.
Zetterberg's shot was one of the best you will ever see. No room for error and he buries it for the GWG.
Rick Nash was booed and that's awesome. He requests a trade and their GM wants two full lines from a cup contender for a 30 goal scorer. What's worse is some fans out there (looking at some of you) actually wish their GM would go for it.

NOHS Three Stars of the Game:
First Star: Hank. What a shot.
Second Star: Kronwall. 1G 2A.
Third Star: Joey MacDonald. Only 2 got past him and he was great when we needed him to be.
NOHS Favorite Moment of the Game: Ken and Mick making fun of the Blue Jackets stat keeper who believed that Columbus was out-hitting Detroit 20-1 after the first period. Keeping track of hits is kind of meaningless, really, since it's so subjective. Just count ones where the guy gets knocked over and it won't be so uneven like that.
Next game is Friday against the Wild. Puck drops at 7:30 EST.
