As most of you know, I've been doing the posters around here. There have been some that are good, bad, and ugly.... then some that ARE The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly. Today's was not brought to you by me.. but from another source. Since around the beginning of the year, I've been on the ole twittersphere. Some of the "twitterati" as I like to call them... have been following me pretty closely. One specific friend is Michelle aka Slapshotg0al. She's been following me religiously and frequently throws out ideas.
First, she asked that we NOT forget Eaves. So, as many of you have noticed, Eaves is a little part of EVERY poster now. He will be until the day he laces up the skates and hits the ice.
Second, she ALSO noticed that every single time I moonlight a guy... they get their score on. Now, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It works for Jimmy, but not for Conklin. It works for Z, but not Datsyuk. It's very odd and at times just plain freaky. So, today I got the request to do something special for our pal Fil.
Read on to find out what she had in store...
Fil's going to have some big shoes to fill with Datsyuk down for a few weeks (minor knee surgery to remove a bone fragment... you know... just incase you didn't hear). With that in mind, I needed to do something special. Slapshotg0al was there to help. After the last game, she suggested we go a little primal. With that suggestion... I give you our movie poster for tonights game.
I give you a tale 6 years in the making. It's a topsy-turvy adventure about a forward with high expectations. He's met them this year, but has blended into the background since emerging from his electrified cage.
Today...I give you, "Valassic Park".
