Who are these so called "experts" that know so much about hockey that they can honestly predict who is going to win this series? ESPN, NBC, CBC, Jeremy Roenick or Eddie Olczyk? These guys may know how to play hockey (in some instances) better than me, but they couldn't predict a fart after a late night run to Taco Bell™.

Wow! You're on a roll already.

The truth is we don't know who will win this series, but as fans we know our team better than some joke in a flower print suit. You can base this series on stats, or how the team played in March, but that really doesn't tell you anything.

Here is my take.

1.) This isn't the regular season. None of that crap matters. We know that guys like Franzen, Zetterberg and Helm can take this game to a whole different level that Nashville probably doesn't even know exists.

2.) When Detroit is "on" and "healthy" they can destroy their opponets in every way possible.

3.) Rinne is over-hyped, just like Bryzgalov was. Once Babs and his staff figure out his weakness he will be reduced to nothing.

4.) Our offense and defense have more skill and depth.

5.) Nashville may have a better PP, but that means nothing once the playoffs start. Detroit doesn't goon it up, and the refs are more apt to let teams play 5-on-5.

6.) Hulktuzzi was born at a Nashville game.

7.) We have Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, Helm, Lidstrom, Kronwall and Nashville doesn't.

I "predict" that Detroit will win this series in 4, 5, 6 or 7 games. I may be wrong, but I know one thing for sure. I'll be sitting there watching every single second curled up in a little ball of stress, fear, pain and joy just like the rest of you.

Fuck the naysayers, let's see some "playoff" hockey Detroit.

Thank God FSD is covering the first few games while NBC takes Pitt-Philly game.  Ken and Mickey are sooooo much better to listen to then Pierre discussing his new man-crush on Radulov

At least Dan Rosen, who doesn't look like he's seen a minute of physical exercise in his life,  has detroit winning this one.

@Reddy Billy Jaffe picked Detroit. That means hes not a moron like the rest of them. I hate the guys that say Nashville has the edge on Ddefense. First off we have Lidstrom and second, one good pair doesn't mean anything. Our forwards play better defense than some of their D

The only things that concern me are #2 and #3.  #2 because the fact that Cleary is starting means that they're not going to be 100% healthy.  I would be more confident if they let him heal (at least to something like 80% or so) and put in Conner or someone else.  And #3 because there's really no basis for making that claim.  Rinne in the playoffs is more of an unknown quantity than anything else.  Sure he's made the playoffs before, but the team in front of him this year is a lot better than the ones that were in front of him in previous years.

I think this is a very winnable series and I do honestly think the Wings will take it, but I worry about it because I think it will be long and draining like the 7-game series against Phoenix from a couple years ago.

I KNEW Edzo needed to get his eyes fixed when he made that call on Datsyuk's OT winner in Chicago about Franzen interfering! I f***ing KNEW it!
