Intent to Know: Helm Undergoes Surgery
Written by Drew on .
| According to the Detroit News: Darren Helm needed to have surgery last night on his forearm. Details of the extent of the injury are still a mystery, but if it needed surgery - we've likely seen the last of The Namesake this post-season. "I feel bad for him. He's worked hard to get back. I don't know what the severity of his injury is, but you've got to feel bad for the kid, he worked hard to get back and only lasted a couple of shifts. It's going to be a big loss for us, but we've got somebody else to step up for us." --Brad Stuart *Sigh* |
wtf...how long does the nhl and shanny have to look at the weber video? 1 game is a must 2 games is just right.
from the Red Wings Facebook: Helm underwent successful surgery last night to repair lacerated tendons in his right forearm. He will miss the entire 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but should make a full recovery.
That really sucks for him...and us. Now Im just waiting for news about weber getting the shanna-hammer of justice.
@moorecha I think so, he's the only that can come close to him on speed, though Conner's smaller frame means less grit.
@thebiglachovsky @moorecha I have said it a few times and less grit is not an issue the guy plays his heart out and that is what Helm does. Would be a huge chance to have Conner develop into a strong player that helps the team just as much as helm does. Also Helm earned his spot in playoff games alone and I think this would give Conner the opportunity to do the same.
This really sucks, I was so happy when I saw him out there. Does this mean Nyquist is in? Not that he can replace Helmer.
Nightmare on Nyquist Lane? Yeah.. just doesn't have the same ring. Stewie's right though... we'll step it up... we will soldier on.... we will conquer these fools. LGRW
