Back at home after two tough ones on the road. No longer do we have to hear the stolen chants from Michigan, rather 20,000 strong will be pushing for another Wings W at home.
It's an early gametime and I'm looking for an early start for the Wings.
Anyways, Mr. Josh Howard has provided us with another great poster with the same theme as the previous.
...after the jump that is.
It's your gameday open post.
Oh well, Wings are boned. And they deserve it after that start. You can whine about calls and luck but in the end the effort only started when they went down by 2 goals.
@FiveforFive I've seen it so often, I'm getting sick of their bs starts and only trying when they're in a hole they can't climb out of. I guess there's a chance but for the record I'm calling it a lost series. I hope I'm wrong.
@Reddy Can't give up that easy. Wings have another game at home to tie it up. Gotta start early and dominate the whole game, smart passing and shooting.
@FiveforFive Regular season, heart was the problem. Now, it is refs and luck working against us. :/
@ThroatShot Refs are in the, don't make any calls mode. Lots of interference and holds
@FiveforFive @ThroatShot It hasn't just been this series either. This has been the worst playoffs I have seen in a long time when it comes to calls. I don't mind the refs letting things go, if they do it for both teams from the beginning. I hate the game being called one way for 5 minutes then 10 minutes of nothing called then a few horrible calls. I normally defend refs, as they have the hardest job in the sports world., but these play off year that is impossible to do.
@FiveforFive Yeah, they make a ton of bad calls early and then refuse to make the right calls in the end. In every way, these games are being decided by the referees. Detroit won Game 2 in spite of the league's efforts to have WWE-style "sports."
Nashville's PK strategy seems to be to commit more penalties and assume that the league won't let the referees give Detroit a 5-on-3. Wish Detroit got that privilege.
Datsyuk would have banged a puck in for a goal there at 13:29, but Nashville's defensive strategy was for everyone to tackle a Red Wing. Worked great, but there should have been an interference. That play is as if the refs just deducted a goal from Detroit's side of the board. Gosh, I hate the NHL some (most) times.
And, seems to be their entire 3rd Period strategy. Has worked so far. What happened to the old league policy of trying to not have refs decide games?
Some might say that based on the number of penalties called, this game has been called evenly, and thus fairly. However, I ask you- is it even and fair to call 6 penalties on a team that has committed 3 and 5 penalties on a team that has committed 148?
I can't remember ever seeing Lidstrom beg for a penalty with his arms up in frustration while the play goes on. I just did. There was no call. That is how bad this game is being called.
This is not the team that won the other night, and if they keep this up they're losing it. Not impressed by anyone besides Howard so far.
And just in case Kronner or White manage to read this on their iphones on the bench, you can't score if you miss the net, it's science.
@Reddy This game makes me sad for me.
Weber needs to die today. The NBCDbags agreeing that Weber didn't interfere with Miller, but Miller interfered with Pekker.

Well Shanny made the wrong decision on weber and after the pre game highlights it looks like he is seeing the backlash.... Just weird. Anyway game time!!
