Darren Helm is out and Gustav Nyquist is in. Now is the time to win for the heart of our team. It's time to win for Zetterbergs cracked helmet, and it's time to just win for the sake of beating the crap out of a team that lays country music as their goal scoring song.

I know its not the Wings style to head hunt. They play with class and dignity, but there are some instances Ala Claude Lemieux that just can't be over looked. Yes, Zetterberg was not injured, but the act of violence that Shea Weber committed at the end of game 1 does not belong in this game, and if Shanahan won't do anything about it then I hope Bertuzzi, Abdelkader or Ericsson take a stand right from the jump. Watch those starting lines, it may tell a story.

Game 1 was all Detroit. Nashville won on dumb luck and I would hope that the Wings won't let them get away with another win unless they earn it.

Franzen started to heat up towards the end of the game, lets hope that he stays warm and plays that top gear the full 60 tonight.

Defferent refs tonight. Brad Watson and Mike Leggo. Hopefully we can see some 5-on-5 tonight.

Strap in, get your puke buckets and squish your stress balls cause tonight is going to get ugly.

Game 2 Motivational Speech:

I’m over it. I’ve dwelled on the Weber hit and the Wings’ bad luck in game one since Wed. night and I put it behind me. What happened, happened, and even tho it was complete and utter BS, it’s over with and it’s time to move on. This is the playoffs, and this is what we sign up for every time we watch our boys take the ice in the spring.

Weber is a goon. We all see that now. There was a time where I, like many of you, wanted to see Weber in a Wings jersey. Not anymore. I hope that he never gets the honor and privilege of wearing the Winged Wheel on his chest. There is no place for goons on this team, and even tho he did not get suspended, I would like to believe that having to play for Nashville is punishment enough.

Tonight is a new night. A new game, filled with new chances. This is why the NHL playoffs are so great. A best of 7 series allows the team that can grind, endure, and outlast the longest to advance towards the ultimate goal. Every series has a turning point. I’m actually somewhat glad that Nashville had the luck for game 1. Because luck changes; and when it does, it will be coming over to our side.

Good news is the series just started and we already have extra motivation to whip the Preds. I like it. Babcock will have the boys prepared tonight. The reffing situation is nothing new to us, we never get decent officiating in the playoffs anyways, so I’m just not gonna dwell on that.

If you can’t tell, I’m PUMPED for this game and the anticipation is building as we get closer to 7:30. Play hard, play tough, play smart, and lets make our own luck. LGRW!!!!

oh, Brad Watson. Nice. It adds to my take on the series outcome. He has a long anti-Detroit history.

"Watch those starting lines, it may tell a story."Honestly, given the lack of discipline from the league, I wouldn't be surprised if this one gets ugly really quick. LGRW!

@thebiglachovsky Yes, the league abdicated there responsibility, leaving Abdelkader to take it. There had better not be any supplemental discipline against Detroit unless Bertuzzi actually does show up with a 44 mag...

I think the best coarse of action for the wings is to stick it to them on the scoreboard.... Don't let them win another game... Make them lose their series on their ice... And tonight, for christsake... I want zetterberg to look at the camera after the game and say, LET THEM EAT CURLY FRIES! LGRW!!!!!
