Well, the Michigan Humane Society had you in mind when they partnered with Patrick Eaves to help generate donations for their fine organization.
“My Newfoundland Rueben is a valuable member of our family and like a big brother to my daughter," Eaves said. "I am involved with the Mega March for Animals walk to help raise money for the Michigan Humane Society so that other pets can get the proper care they deserve and the opportunity to join a loving family."
They're offering a chance to meet Patrick Eaves and watch a Red Wings practice in exchange for your donation. No word on whether or not meeting Rueben is part of the deal. You have until Sunday, September 25 to donate.
This isn't the first time Eaves has worked with MHS. Last year he ran this ad with his monster of a Newfoundland, Rueben.
His obvious reading of cue cards was awkward, yes. All in all, it's a good cause if you're able to support it.

It was determined the other day that the Hudler photo is the best photo on the Gore. I am of the mind that it should go without say the photo of Patty Eaves and his dog Ruben (or, more likely, friend in a dogsuit) be accepted as the second greatest photo on the internet.
