That means today we bring you fans of the the one and only Avalanche, who suffered a 3-0 beating from the Wings on Saturday during Forsberg night. We start out with some of the pregame comments from Mile High Hockey, which range from the racist to the plain strange...
So glad I dont have Cox, Sorry Bro.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME HOCKEY?!?!
Oh, and Obama is a Muslim.
by Tony Trujillo on Oct 8, 2011 5:32 PM MDT
Oh, and good ol' Tony posted a picture of himself a few minutes later. It was exactly as you expected.
Tony Trujillo - Hates: Muslims, exercise and black people. Loves: Coors light, wife beating, Peter Forsberg and cheesy photoshop effects.
So back to the game. Early, even during the Floppa ceremony, the go to saying seemed to be "F'$# the Red Wings." Even when Zetterberg and Lidstrom shook Forsberg's hand. Classy, but expected. Continuing on:
3/4 of the Wings should've retired
Back when Hitler died…
by Drakenlot on Oct 8, 2011
Random Hitler reference. Things turned against Bertuzzi quick, with lots of "F#@k Bertuzzi" etc., but when Claude Lemieux was named:
CLAUDE LEMIEUX!!!! PERFECT person to have in the building tonight!

I still think he just wanted Draper to Discover Denver.

Abdelkader, another cookiecutter Detroit plug
by SteveHouse on Oct 8, 2011 8:26 PM MDT
He needs a good Drapering along the boards.
by niwotsblessing on Oct 8, 2011 8:27 PM MDT
Classy Denver. Real f'ing classy, though what we expect from you mouth breathers. Soon after, we got the standard whining from those poor abused Avs fans.
Can someone explain to me what an interference call is because I must not understand why we keep getting called and the Red Wings are not
by avalanchejef on Oct 8, 2011 7:46 PM MDT
Red Wings have the NHL in their pocket
by zandar on Oct 8, 2011 7:47 PM MDT
Standard fare. Back to the game.
I kinda thought Detoilet was playing rope-a-dope at first but now, not so much. We can beat these old men.
by AvFab on Oct 8, 2011
No you can't. Because this happened:
Hate Franzen the mule. He’s an Avs killer
FAWK. I'm so sick of those two guys
by airforcefoo on Oct 8, 2011
fml. really? really?!?!?!?!?!
Exactly. Like I said, all in due time. And to finish this out:
Foppa deserves better!
Well, I actually thought they did a great tribute to Forsberg. I mean the Avs started out strong but then quit when the going got tough. Isn't that exactly "Foppa's" style?
This will probably be the last thing I will say about this post.
What you guys are saying, about joking around, is fine with me. Where the problem lies is in saying that he hates black people simply because he disagrees or does not like Obama.
Should we now go back and say that any black people that disagreed with Bush are racist for it? Can you imagine if we had claimed that?
Call him and inbred sister fucker that hates muslim's and beats his wife all you want. The picture is funny. There is just no reason to insinuate that disagreeing with Obama is automatically racism. In fact questioning authority and disagreeing with it is American as the dollar hot dog day at the Joe. It is extremely problematic to brand people racist for not liking someone.
As I mentioned before, I have seen some other political jokes here and there going both ways on this site. That is fine with me even if I disagree its all in fun. This one may have been meant for humor but actually causes a lot of divide among us because we are branding people as being racist for their political ideas. If you don't even allow people to believe something without branding them with one of the worst scarlet letters of our time how is it going to be possible to unite and fix the country?
When is the next Wing's game?
I jokingly said he hates black people because he looks like one of those crazy folk who doesn't care for black people, NOT because he doesn't like Obama. It had nothing to do with that and never even occurred to me until your posts. Your views are fine with me. His fat Colorado loving ass is not.
If you can't come to the Internet and judge people, based on shitty sketch portraits and call them racist for making retarded statements then I don't want to live in this world anymore...
@D.M.N This statement is just as bad as the first. No one gives a shit about a sketch portrait but claiming someone is racist for no reason at all is bullshit. Of course you can judge someone and call their "art" (in this case worthless waste of what looks like pencil) but to call someone racist with no just cause is absolutely defamation of character.
What you have just said DMN is essentially that you fear a world where one can't have free speech right?
Well you are telling this guy from Colorado that he can not speak this way without being called a racist. It is not free speech if you can't say it without being accused of something completely out of context. The people calling this guy racist are the ones inhibiting free speech by claiming anyone who disagrees with or does not like Obama racist.
I don't like throwing myself our here like this on a hockey blog because I have been following for two years. I have not caused a stir at many of the other political comments made but this one here is WAY across the line.
@magnum9 it was meant to be ridiculous... I hope you don't leave this site, because of some childish name calling is what I was getting at... I for one like your input, but at the same time like making fun of people like Tony sister fucker up there, not because they deserve it but because my life is equally hollow and meaningless... You shoul see how I act at bus stops. Also I apologize if I upset you. I mean that.
@magnum9 I understand what you're saying Mag, but I have just one point. IT'S AN AV'S FAN!!! We can call them any name we want, for any arbitrary reason we can think of and they deserve it. But if it were anyone else I would agree with you.
@moorecha@BLOOD RED I laughed at the rest of it. Just not the part where not liking Obama is automatically racist, even if it is joking that is a pretty serious thing. The rest of it I can get behind 100%.
And no I don't get so butt hurt by this stuff that I am going to leave the site or anything. This is just the one sensitive area I really even have.
Magnum, buddy, please know that this had nothing to do with the fact that he doesn't like Obama and everything to do with the ridiculousness and randomness of his post (having to yell out Obama is a Muslim in a pregame thread shows you have a problem, it would be the same problem had someone called George W. a Nazi four years ago, which certainly happened often) and then the absolute greatness of his photo which followed. It was meant for a laugh and that's it. There's never been any sort of political leaning from this blog, nor has there been any thing intended. Again, was just posted for a laugh, which I'm hoping a few people might have had. Did not mean anything anti-republicans or pro-democrats, simply mocking how ridiculous Tony was in the situation.
And come on man, that photo's just funny. Admit it. (Smile face.)
First off Chris I am actually quit offended by your post here.
Are you calling me racist because I think Obama is the worst president we have ever had and panders to the islamic religion? I don't believe he is a muslim himself but he sure as hell has made a lot of things worse by not standing behind Israel rather giving in to the islamic political world.
This is not a political blog, obviously it is not my blog and you can write what you want, but this bullshit about calling someone racist for not liking Obama is the most absurd thing I have seen in a long time.
As for the hockey... way to go Wing's.
when you bring politics into a sports discussion, you leave yourself open to be destroyed by half of the readers and approved of, yet not supported by the other half.
This has nothing to do with politics really. Obviously President Obama is a politician so by default it does hit political notion in some sense.
But what Chris said is that in a theoretical sense I don't like my neighbor because he is rude and doesn't mow his lawn, but happens to be black, makes me a racist.
This is the biggest crock of shit I have seen. And it is happening so often it is infuriating because it is so far from the truth that honestly people would have a reasonable case to sue for libel or some form of defamation.
This is just absurd.
I find it very sad that these dicks wish anyone to get "Drapered" along the boards. I'm pretty sure that Draper himself has gotten past that hit whereas an entire city hadn't. I guess that's what happens when that one hit is a key moment in their team history.
love these post... that picture has to be the whackest shit ive ever seen, and to put it out there for self promption is even funnier...
