Z and Dats Split Up
For the first few games, Detroit had no problem scoring. And in those games, Z and Pav played on seperate lines. Remember when we scored 11 goals by 11 different players?
Well, looks like we're going back to that now:
Hudler-Datsyuk-Cleary
Franzen-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi
Filppula-Helm-Abdelkader
Miller-Emmerton-Holmstrom
The Franzen Zetterberg Bertuzzi line could be a beast if Bert and Mule decide to play. And I'm not sure why Cleary gets rewarded with a spot on line one. Anyways, it looks like Babbles has ignored my plea for Commodore as well.

Now this is as it was reported yesterday, so this might change. Eaves apparently had a maintenance day, whatever that means. I'd be surprised to see him in the lineup.
But anyways, despite Detroit's scoring woes, did you know that they are averaging an NHL-best 35.8 shots per game? The talent clearly is there, goals will come.
Good lineup. I think Cleary's getting a look on the #1 line because him, Pav, and Happy had some good chemistry early on.
I like Fil with Helm and Abby because of his speed. I think they can cause some problems for teams and also match up defensively.
Bert-Z-Mule works if Bert goes to the net and does his thing while Z and Mule fire away. Those 3 have also had good chemistry before as well.

Babs is finally pulling his head out of his @$$. Z and Pav on the same line hasn't worked in what seems like a decade. This team was a monster when they were split. I am sick of hearing about how depth makes it possible for those two to play on the same line, how about depth makes it possible for them not to be on the same line.
I agree, I would like to see @commie22 in the line up, but Ericsson and Kindl have been pretty solid. and I would like to see Fil and Cleary swap places. Filppula has been incredible this season on the wing why shove him down on the 3rd

@jordan from DHR well, fil needs to be the finisher, as it were, for abby and helm who get the puck in but have a hard time putting it in the net, so i get him down on the 3rd line. But i completely agree with everything else you've said. Other teams run too much interference on pav and z for them to be as effective as they were in 08. And I'd like to see commodore in for Ericsson, personally, kindl seems to be slightly more consistent than big rig so far.
