It seems like its been forever since we last saw Red Wings hockey. Lets hope the extended break doesn't have any ill effects on the dominate hockey Detroit has been playing over the last 5 games. Tampa hasn't done so well as of late and are historically bad when it comes to facing the Wings. They do have Stamkos, Lecavalier and St. Louis so nothings a guarantee.

"Steve Downie (TBL) and Jakub Kindl (DET) played together on the 2006-07 Kitchener Rangers (OHL). After going 47-17-4 during the regular season, Kitchener swept Steven Stamkos (TBL) and the Sarnia Sting out of championship contention in the opening round of that year’s J. Ross Robertson Cup Playoffs. The Plymouth Whalers abruptly ended Kitchener’s post-season run the following round."
"Since the start of the 1997-98 season, the Detroit Red Wings have won more games (755) than any other team in the NHL. Detroit's 649 regular season victories and 106 playoff wins are both tops in the NHL over that span."
Just when you thought you couldn't like Ian White any more, he does something even better.
Defenseman Ian White hosts a different U.S. military member and his/her guest at each home game during the 2011-12 regular season. The military member receives two tickets, two food and beverage vouchers and two gift bags which each include an autographed photo. The military member is also recognized during the game on the jumbotron as a guest of White. In addition, the two guests receive a locker room tour and a meet-and-greet with White following the game.
Zetterberg no slouch in the awesomeness department, and this is why he will be the future bearer of the C. Kinda makes you feel bad for getting down on him during his slump.
Zetterberg Foundation Suite
Forward Henrik Zetterberg and his wife Emma host patients from area children’s hospitals and their families at home games during the 2011-12 regular season. The Zetterberg Foundation Suite guests are selected by hospital staff at three local hospitals: Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. The patients and their families are treated to a fun night in the suite with food and beverage provided by Zetterberg and the patients receive gift bags that include a puck or photo signed by Zetterberg.
