Usually that's what you do...
Thatta boy, Jumbo Joe.
I thought it was fitting for the referees to call this one, on the heels of Kevin Bieksa calling out his own teammates in Vancouver:
“I know guys will do whatever it takes for a power play to win a game. But sometimes they’re crossing that line of integrity. I think for the better of the game, for the good of the game we need people to stay on that line and not cross it, and not dive and exaggerate for calls.”
That quote via NBC. Obviously, Mr. Thornton wasn't listening...at all.
I gotta respect Bieksa for standing up for good ol' honest hockey, even if we will have to play the 'Nucks if we beat SJ. And Thornton's actions are shameful for a captain. He's the most classless captain I've ever seen. And this doesn't even include Setoguchi slewfooting Bert in game 4, or any other of the Sharks' many antics. Lame, diving team that happens to break up the Wings' passes better than many. I'm still not afraid. Pasha, Z-man, Captain Nick, Nik the Terminator A.K.A. Nik Junior, and the blazing 4th line of Helmer will win the day for us.
I don't know to whom credit belongs for this animated gif of that scene, but it's not me:
