Friggin' Islanders

What is the deal with the New York Islanders?

• Dec. 31st, 2010 - Islanders 4 Detroit 3 (OT)
• Jan. 12th, 2010 - Islanders 6 Detroit 0
• March 27th, 2009 - Islanders 2 Detroit 0
• Jan. 30th, 2007 - Islanders 3 Detroit 4 (OT)
• Dec. 4th, 2005 - Islanders 2 Detroit 1

Since the lockout, Detroit has a 1-3-1 record against one of the most defunct franchises in hockey.  Taking 3 out of a possible 10 points.  So I ask again: what is the deal?

Not a happy first post for 2011.  But at least we're still tied for the lead league in points (with a game in hand).  I had a bad feeling about last night's game since the day I saw it posted on the schedule.  The Islanders continue to be a thorn in our side for one night a year.

Oh and if that was a penalty on Zetterberg in OT, then I'm a Chinese monkey.
