Cleary/Mursak In - Datsyuk Out
"Still can't shoot 100 percent. It bothers me a little bit. (I'm) just not ready. I hope the two days will help me. I will do what I can and shoot for the next game." --Pavel Datsyuk
So now we know. The Detroit News reports that Danny Cleary will make his return tomorrow night in Ottawa, while Pavel Datsyuk will aim for Friday at home against Columbus. Datsyuk has been sidelined since December 22nd against Vancouver.
Bummer. On the other hand, though - Danny Cleary is happy as a clam:
"I'm excited to get back. It's been five weeks and the ankle is getting better every day." --Danny Cleary
When Cleary went down five weeks ago, he was leading the team in goals scored (16) and game winning goals (5). And in five weeks, only Johan Franzen has surpassed him in goals (21) and Valtteri Filppula has pulled even with him in the GWG department.
Welcome back, Cleary. Hurry up, Pav.
