I'm going to enjoy this. I first heard about Five for Howling during the 2010 playoffs and checked in on it from time to time since. Usually to get their perspective on how hockey will work in the desert or who's buying the team this month. But the more the Wings beat them and the more our fans humiliated them, the angrier they got. I don't think they even care about their team that much anymore. I think they just hate us. Well, last night didn't help and neither will this post.

That post brought to you by reader TimmyHate. Apparently the guy is from New Zealand and picked the Coyotes as his favorite team. He's pretty genuine, but still a tool. When Glendale's city council was voting on whether or not to pay the team's losses or whatever it is they were voting on, TimmyHate claims to have written a letter to them stating that if they didn't approve that pro-yotes legislation, that he would never visit Glendale if he traveled to America. Wow, let's vote 'yes' all around! The millions upon millions of dollars we'll lose is worth the risk.

Not sure what her dearest obsession is, but given that she's a Coyotes fan, I'm guessing it's her laundry. Seems that's her ritual. Doing laundry when the Coyotes need a boost. She must have had some really clean clothes the last two Aprils.

Does it seem to anyone else that we are conforming to play Detroit's game?
This whole up tempo fancy hockey? With a bunch of individual play?

This actually made me laugh. Since when does Detroit play like individuals? Pavel has the ability to, but his slick moves usually lead to passes. All but the first of Detroit's 5 goals had 2 assists attached, so I don't know where this individual play idea is coming from.

I actually really liked that exchange. Shows how fast and furious the Wings were scoring. So thanks you guys. You made me laugh this morning. Again.

Over an hour passed before anything good was said again. They mostly just ripped their own team. Then:

Moral victory. The Coyotes dominated the period that the Red Wings played prevent defense. With moral victories like that, who needs the playoffs?

And that was pretty much it. About 3 comments made after the game. Can you imagine the conversation on a Red Wings blog after a loss like that? I'm guessing 30-200 comments, depending on the size of the blog. And to think that Five for Howling is their WiiM. All the more reason to pull the plug on that franchise and send them to a town that will care.
