From ArenaDigest.com:

The amenities at Traverse City's Centre I.C.E. are a whole lot better for this fall's Prospects Camp and Detroit Red Wings training, as arena officials today are unveiling several improvements to the facility.

The Red Wings have been holding their Prospect Camp in Traverse City every year since 1997.  Apparently, the director of the tournament is being forced to expand it from eight to twelve teams in 2012 because it has become so popular.

To accommodate those extra teams, coaches and scouts, two new NHL-sized clubhouses were added, as well as new trainers and coaches rooms. An ice-view lounge was added for the scouts; it will be used as a suite for Traverse City North Stars (NAHL) games.

Pretty cool.  And in related news, over at A2Yon Wednesday, George Malik announced that his attendance at camp is official:

"It’s official--it’s all been worked out and I’m cleared to go!"

Looks like our little Red Wings on-line community comes through one more time...awesome.
