Maltby Retires
It is a sad day in Detroit. Kirk Maltby, 4 time cup winner with the Wings, will retire today rather than play the year out in Grand Rapids. Maltby may decide to become a scout with the team, replacing Pat Verbeek.
We've been through a lot together Kirk. It's been a great ride. You can retire knowing that you have as many Cups as the entire Blackhawk franchise.
Cheers to one of the best of all time to wear the Red & White.
