Is the Nightmare Continuing?
Rafalski is probably out for tonight after leaving practice with a knee injury and will have his knee scoped. With him and Big E out, Holland has decided to bring up Doug Janik from GR (which required putting Draper on IR). From the Free Press:
Asked how long Rafalski would be out, Mike Babcock said, “We don’t think very long, but until they get in there and look at it ... He had a little pain and we just decided that it hadn’t reacted the way it had in the past. He had the back surgery this summer and then you don’t do the same training, so his quads probably aren’t as strong.”
Two things, first, it is an interesting decision to bring up Janik rather than Meech. But really, injuries already? Please God, not again. Things are too good this year for this to happen again.
