Anaheim's Defense
Our Offense vs. Their Defense
Pulled this off of Kukla's Korner on Wednesday:
“Most, if not all prognosticators justifiably point to the Ducks’ defensive group as a major concern after the team failed to land a big-name free agent in the offseason”
Interesting that Pronger and Niedermayer leave and the team's D goes into the dumps. Nice structure, there. They've drafted and signed so many power forwards in the last 5 or 6 years that they've completely over looked their defense. Probably doesn't matter when you nab the goal tenders they get, though. Jonas Hiller is absolutely absurd. For those of you who didn't root for Canada during the last Winter Olympics, I'm sure you somewhat enjoyed his display of goaltending in the prelims, nearly stealing one from the home team. Especially his absolute larceny(TM Daryl Reaugh) of teammates Corey P(f)erry and Ryan Getslapped. Good goalie, for sure.
