Listen, I know it's easy to give up on the team, down 3-0 in a series. To say the Wings have blown it. It's natural to start thinking about next year. I'm reading all this in the hour and a half in the comments below. Because seriously, down 3-0, no chance right?
Hell yes they have a shot.
The pulse might be fading, but this is the Detroit Red Wings, the classiest and historic franchise in the US, not some pussy team named after some animal from the beaches of the Pacific.
This is a team that has faced adversity all season, only to say F you to everyone time and again and still finish with more points then the Penguins.
This is a team led by Nick Lidstrom, possibly the best defenseman of all time.
This is a team with a rookie of the year candidate in goal, that can and will put a bad goal behind him to play the best game of his career Thursday.
This is the team with the two best two-way players in the game, bar none. If I had two picks to start a team today up-front, I would take Datsyuk and Zetterberg #1 and #2 no question in my mind.
It might be slow, but the pulse is still there. I'm pretty sure that means they are still alive. That means they still have a chance.
F*^k the Sharks. F~#k the refs. No excuses. Just 4 wins.
