Methinks that Mike Babcock doesn't want to give one single hint that the Wings are taking tomorrow's game lightly. And it's because of that (maybe) that Jimmy Howard will get his 17th consecutive start tomorrow night against the Edmonton Oilers, according to Khan(!)...
The Big Rig is back in for Lebda, other than that, no changes from Calgary line-up.
Babcock said he hadn't decided if Chris Osgood will play Saturday in Vancouver.
I guess we'll just have to see how tomorrow goes. Ansar said that he expected Jimmy to start tomorrow before seeing the practice, but I sure as hell didn't. Last place in the West seemed like the perfect game to throw Ozzie back in for. But then again, is it? Obviously Babcock doesn't think so.
Think about it this way, would you want a rusty goalie to get the start behind a rusty team who has had three days off? We can't afford to take ANY games lightly from now until next fall, so perhaps putting the hot goalie in against a team dying to play spoiler is just what the doctor ordered...
