About N.O.H.S.

The Nightmare on Helm Street is an unofficial blog overwhelmingly dedicated to the Detroit Red Wings and the destruction of their enemies. Drew started a non-partisan blog in 2008 which failed miserably and he eventually created N.O.H.S. on the scorched Earth thereafter in July 2009. Chris was added as an author three months later. Both are washed up college hockey players, except Chris is a stupid goalie.

Via Khan(!)...

So apparently I wasn't the only one who noticed Filppula out there mucking and grinding like a champ last night.  Well, he's been rewarded.  Here are the lines they skated with earlier today...

Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom
Filppula-Zetterberg-Cleary
Bertuzzi-Miller-Williams
Draper-Helm-Eaves

Lidstrom-Rafalski
Kronwall-Stuart
Lebda-Lilja
Ericsson-Meech (scratches)

Howard (starting)
Osgood

If you ask me, the way that the Little Red Corvette line was playing, and the way that Bertuzzi and Williams looked last night, I think I would swap those lines in terms of who's 3rd and who's 4th.

Big Rig must not have impressed well enough to earn consecutive games.  That's going to be a day-to-day thing me thinks.  Regardless, I think we've seen the last of Meech this season.  Unless he has an outstanding practice or something.

You know how I always assumed that Ansar actually reads this blog...well check this out:

What if we put Fil in between Z and Clears? Fil will dish all night to Hank and he can shoot the lights out. Clears will be in front of the net.

A 3rd line of Miller-Willy-Bert has its flaws but could also be good.

You could also flip Clears and Bert if you wanted.

I'm on to you DetCapC19...or would you prefer Mr. Khan(!)?

Hahaha, sweeeeeet.

I'd prefer DetCapKhan(!). (I doubt you can say that 10 times fast)*

Maybe Babcock reads this blog? If so, that pretty much makes me like the Assistant Coach.

*I bet you couldn't get past 4.

this has nothing to do with tomorrows game, but cooke isn't going to be suspended for his hit to savard's head. lovely quotes by campbell: "I know it's not something that Boston fans, or hockey fans would like to hear. They want justice. We feel we have to be consistent and do what we feel is right and hopefully we've gone to a place in our meetings today that we can eradicate plays like this in the future."

so step 1, ignore what the fans want.
step 2, don't punish a repeat offender because that will somehow make him not cheap shot someone again...

"I know Matt Cooke is a repeat offender, he's been suspended twice in the last year."

but...

"I can't suspend Matt Cooke for being a repeat offender."

why the hell not? oh... pittsburgh... got it.
