Chelios Post Announced Tomorrow

The Detroit Red Wings will introduce the newest member of their front office, former defenseman Chris Chelios, Tuesday during a noon news conference at Joe Louis Arena.

So whatever it is that Chris Chelios is going to be doing with Detroit, it will be made official tomorrow.

"I told him if he wanted to get involved in the front office, if he's looking to learn the business, we'd have a spot for him and evolve his role.  Players that have been here a long time and been a part of us being successful, if I got a job open, I'd prefer to have one of our former players who helped us win get it rather than going outside the organization.''--Ken Holland

...and that's why players - past, present, future - want to come and play for Detroit.  With an owner like Ilitch, and a general manager like Holland - you won't find a more classier, professional, and well-run organ-i-zation in all of professional sports.
