From the Free Press...
The Wings have allowed 11 goals to Phoenix in the first three games of the series; it's only the fourth time in 45 series since their playoff streak began in 1991 that they've allowed at least 11 goals in the first three games.
The last time that it happened? Way back in 1998. The opponent? The Phoenix Coyotes. Interesting. Here are the facts:
- Goals Allowed in first three games: 13
- Red Wings Goalie at the time: Chris Osgood
- Series Record going into Game Four: 1-2 (Phoenix Lead)
- Result of that Series: Red Wings Win, 4-2
Does that make you feel any better?
