I like Puck Daddy, I really do. Greg Wyshynski does a very good job (with a few exceptions here and there) of giving us interesting hockey stories on an almost hourly basis (hey, Drew does too...but still). And his cohort Dmitry Chesnokov is probably the author of the top 10 most interesting hockey interviews in the past 5 years. You give the man a few minutes with a Russian, any Russian, and he comes out with gold.
Sean Leahy, well, this is where the site starts to fail. He does an adequate job of filling in for Greg when he's gone, but the douchebaggy-ness to writing talent ratio significantly increases. Still, he's occasionally worth a read, even if he doesn't always realize that he's writing for a "neutral" website.
But easily the least talented assclown over there at the big Y is Ryan Lambert. While only being allowed to do a weekly recap, he still manages to be a total c-guzzler every post and has a real, real problem with you, as a fan of the Red Wings. This week, of course, is no exception. Under the header of "why people hate Red Wings fans," he then posts this diddy about our boy Malik, a blogger who's talent level surpasses anything that little Ryan could ever dream of being, him with his terrible gongshow website - The Two Line Pass.
Here it is (with Malik's blog in quotations):
Detroit Red Wings:George Malik sure is a clown. "The Wings fell on their faces in front of their home crowd and a national audience on Sunday. They will not repeat the task on Tuesday. They'll score the game's first goal, quiet the rip-off whiteout, and will win. Period." I hope none of those things happen. For what it's worth, this right here is why people hate Red Wings fans.
Really Ryan? Malik is a clown because he thinks his Wings will win? Wow. A blogger rooting for his team. God you gotta hate those kinda people, you know....the ones that are known as "fans." So tell me, what about Malik's post makes you hate us Ryan? His passion for his team? His confidence? The fact that he actually has readers? (Puck Daddy doesn't count, no one reads the site because of you.)
So eat a big veiny one D-bag. And you might want to work on your website as well, because I think it is up there with the Puck Stops Here as one of the worst on the web.
