About N.O.H.S.

The Nightmare on Helm Street is a fledgeling blog overwhelmingly dedicated to the Detroit Red Wings and the destruction of their enemies. Drew started a non-partisan blog in 2008 which failed miserably and he eventually created N.O.H.S. on the scorched Earth thereafter in July 2009. Chris was added as an author three months later. Both are washed up college hockey players, except Chris is a stupid goalie.

The Free Press is now reporting that Brian Rafalski left practice early today with tightness in his back.  Whether or not he can play tomorrow against Edmonton is now uncertain.

What is certain is that the number of injured players on this team is about to hit critical mass.  There's no one left on the current roster to replace him.  Either Doug Janik or Jakub Kindl would have to be recalled from Grand Rapids if Raff can't go tomorrow.

"We’ll see how it feels tomorrow. I skated for about 10 minutes and it just felt tight.”--Brian Rafalski

Patrick Eaves may also miss another game.  His sore ankle kept him from skating altogether today.

And the hits just keep on coming.

On the positive side, Janik looked decent when he was called up last time...better than Lebda. Kindl could use some time playing in the bigs...but not when the Wings are missing an entire scoring line.

Hopefully this is not the same thing where he randomly had a herniated disk last year during the playoffs from getting out of his car.
